CPN (Maoist Centre) to Conduct Statute Convention in February

Kathmandu: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has announced plans to organize its statute convention in the third week of February. The decision was made during a meeting of the central office-bearers of the party, chaired by Party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda.'

In preparation for the statute convention, the meeting also decided to convene meetings of the standing committee and central committee. A standing committee meeting is scheduled to take place within mid-January 2024. As part of the preparation process, a seven-member statute draft committee was formed during the meeting. The committee includes Party Vice-Chair Pampha Bhusal, General-Secretary Dev Prasad Gurung, Deputy General-Secretaries Giriraj Mani Pokharel, Barsha Man Pun, and Janardan Sharma, along with Secretaries Ganesh Shah and Surendra Karki. The committee aims to prepare a draft of the statute within 15 days.

Additionally, the meeting decided to conclude the party's transformation campaign on January 1. The campaign, initiated on September 2, has been deemed effective by the meeting.
